Spacepod : Omnidelic Journeyman <Shikoku, Japan>

Top ten, Dec. 2004 new!

----------------------------------------
These tracks blasted, subdued and chilled party spaces around Western Japan in 2004. In no particular order.

1. LISA GERRARD - "Whalerider" <4AD> : Before, during and after party serenity.

2. OMNIMOTION - "My Voice" <Clima Records> : When the genre known as "power dub" is coined, this track is ground zero.

3. MAX MAXWELL - "Twilight" <Zulu Lounge> : Tropical islands in our minds materialize where once there was nothing.

4. LUOMO - "Could be like this" <Kinetic Records> : Fun summer housey dancefloor smiler.

5. ORBITAL - "Impact" (USA Version) <FFRR> : Old one resurrected for the sole purpose to devastate summer dance floors.

6. EMERSON LAKE AND PALMER - "From the Beginning" <Atlantic> : From the 70ユs, a pensive acoustic track that streams through your window like 4:00 PM sunlight.

7. ADHAM SHAIKH - "Infusion" <Dakini> : Always been a fan, Tim Floydユs guitar slinks up the Kundalini ladder towards absolute bliss.

8. TIMEWAVES - "I Had a Trip Once" <Synergetic records> : Propels you through a fall leaf blown windy afternoon into the stratosphere.

9. STEVE ROACH - "Fever Dreams II" <Timeroom Editions> : Part two of this laconic stroll through the sparse desert.

10. JENS BUCHERT - "Desert Taxi" <Mental Arts> : Dreamer for summer sunsets and philosophical dubbings.

[in English]

The pregnant moon hangs heavy
illuminating the mist
as a serpent descends
through the cosmic birth canal
Sailling the karmic winds of inner space
It shed skins
of collective history
discarding challenges conquered
in its wake

Dew blankets the earth
diamond drops mirroring the stars
Slipping through a fissure in time
the serpent expells its last bit of life and
surrendering
to beauty becomes a pre-dawn rainbow
bridging two worlds

I arrived.
yet the rainbow had dissolved leaving me with Love
Our eyes meeting for the first time Love asked me

"Why?"

No sound from my lips
I myself am still searching
Is it this unslakeable thirst for answers
that keeps us going?
We attend our own paths
but if you should ever spy
a rainbow in the dreamy pre-dawn hours
do not hesitate to take the first step and seek
the miracle
that is yours

...for the birth of my son, Kosei
